Holly Lamar has released the Charity Single:
All profits from downloads, CD sales and publishing royalties will go to Wildlife Aid, particularly the Norfolk Botanical Garden and Wildlife Center of Virginia.
Eagle is Holly Lamar’s 1st single release since 2003.
with a universal message of inspiration and strength for humans in the face of such intense planetary changes.
All profits for the song will go to Wildlife Aid, particularly the Norfolk Botanical Garden where the male survives and all followers hope for a new beginning this season, and the Wildlife Center of Virginia, where the orphaned eaglets were raised and subsequently released back to the wild after the mother was killed.
It’s a story of tragedy and hope and triumph and ultimately represents how humans can and do find a deeper connection with themselves through connecting with the wildlife and nature that surrounds and INSPIRES them. Holly also hopes this is the first in a long line of using Music as a means for raising money for Charity.  She plans to start two charities, Music4Charity and Art4Charity and to expand the beneficiaries to many global charities and rights organizations.

The song is haunting, the melody and words epic. You can’t listen and NOT “see” the Eagle and be affected by her struggle, her downfall and her ultimate Legacy as a symbol for Hope and Rising Above and for the coming together of humanity that has occurred out of the tragedy of her death as well as the many Eagles she raised to fledge who in turn will raise more.
Holly, an avid animal & wildlife activist as well as vegetarian, was so moved this past April when an American Bald Eagle affectionately known as Mom Norfolk was struck and killed by a commercial plane.

Having nested at the Norfolk VA Botanical Garden for 10 years with her mate, 3 eaglets were left in the nest with only Dad Norfolk to raise them with millions of viewers in shock and dismay.  Having just started watching several nests in February, Holly had begun to realize that these majestic creatures are so much more than JUST wildlife, they are a symbol of purity in action and of emotion, courage in overcoming the hurdles they face in raising a family and just surviving beyond their juvenile years, strength and yes, Intense Character. She also realized the effect that watching these birds of prey was having on the young and old alike who congregate on the live streams and chats covering their nests.

Still even more, she finally GOT why these birds were used by the forefathers as a symbol of the US and of freedom and liberty globally.

So in sorrow for this creature and all creatures who need human protection and understanding, she wrote the Eagle Song, inspired by Mom Norfolk but
